In the second quarter of 2024, the UK's top dining and restaurant apps on iOS showcased varying degrees of user engagement and download trends. Sensor Tower data provides a closer look at these trends for the five leading applications in this category.
Subway - UK & I saw a mixed trend with downloads peaking at around 243K in the second week and then fluctuating before settling at approximately 174K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users showed a generally upward trend, growing from about 103K to over 172K.
McDonald’s U.K. experienced a decline in downloads, starting the quarter at 83K and ending at 47K. However, weekly active users were robust, starting at approximately 677K and reaching a high of 731K, before closing the quarter with around 673K active users.
Domino's Pizza Delivery had a relatively stable quarter in terms of downloads, starting at 20K and ending at 23K. Weekly active users saw slight fluctuations but remained consistent with numbers ranging from around 224K to 220K.
Greggs showed a decrease in downloads over the quarter, from 26K to 25K. Active users had a high of 189K in mid-April but saw a gradual decrease to 178K by the quarter's end.
Starbucks UK had a spike in downloads mid-April at 59K, but otherwise maintained a range between 16K and 19K. Weekly active users hit a peak at 158K in the same period, with a slight downward trend to end at around 116K.
